My babies in there holiday best...I love this picture.
He looks like such a little man.

And this is our little princess (She posed herself I promise).

Hailey's hair after I took the rag curl es out...Yikes

It was so much fun to finally have hair long enough to kind of work with. She looked so cute when the curls relaxed a little.

Here are some fun pictures of the hightlights in the Weber home over the past week...We begin with naked Santa. I have made it a tradition to take a naked Santa picture of my babies for their first Christmas, Isn't he cute?

Everybody here in town no doubt has similar pictures to these from Monday and Friday's snow storms. Kelly was so excited because it reminded him of good old Idaho. He was a little disappointed when Hailey wanted nothing to do with the snow.

Note the expression on Hailey's face in this picture.

That's one funny looking snowman!

That one's a little better :)

This picture reminds me of A Christmas Story.."I can't put my arms down."

Travis is so cute, and he actually loved the snow. Here are some more cute pictures of our happy little guy..We just love that sweet little baby boy!

Didn't See That One Coming!!!

So the facial expression on this tiger cub represents the facial expressions you may have seen on several faces, young and old at the Bevans household tonight! I haven't posted in quite a while for lack of anything interesting to say...well I got one for you.
On Sunday evenings all the family in town gets together for dinner. Now usually these get togethers end up being quite dull, mostly laid back evenings full of food and pointless conversations (don't get me wrong, I love it). Well we had finished dinner and were sitting around chatting in the living room as usual when a knock came at the door. My poor 10 year old niece, followed by all the other little ones answered the door..thus the surprised tiger face. All my niece said was "Grandma, it's for you," then she just stood at the door and stared. When my mother got to the door, all she said was "Let me get my husband," she also had the surprised expression on her face. Next my father came to the door, and at this point I was very curious as to who was there. Well, again with the surprised look, and then I saw what all the concern was about. My dad invited a topless woman into the house...Yes I said a topless woman!!! We were all surprised by the unusual company before us, and let me just add AWKWARD! This woman was holding a shirt halfway over her chest, and her poor face had blood smeared above her eye, and she was overall a wreck. She was clearly drunk and disoriented, and of coarse we were all thinking she had just been raped and beaten. She had apparently come out of a van that was now parked in the middle of the road in front of my parents house. We didn't know if someone was in there with her or what, but we called the police and let them figure it out. Oh yes, we had three police cars, and a fire truck in front of the house, and I'm sure the poor neighbors were wondering who had died at the Bevans house. It was a huge mess, and the poor lady was not wanting to talk to the police, although I wouldn't either if I had just been let out of prison this past summer :)
So one of the police officers recognized her, and told us that she had been kicked out of her parents home (mind you she was like late 30's at best) and she was living in her van. He was certain that she had simply fallen down because she was drunk, and had probably not been beaten, although she claimed that her mother hit her. All in all, it was a really classy situation..not. Eventually they were able to remove her from our home, and take her to the hospital. We really did feel bad for her, but we were happy to have everybody leave so we could put some order back into the house. I think the kids were probably scared for life, but what can you do right? I will say that there was nothing dull about tonight, however I would not wish to repeat such a night for some mere excitement, would you?

It Finally Happend!!!

Do you ever feel like all of the effort you put into parenting is for nothing? Kelly and I have tried and tried to get Hailey to show the slightest bit of interest in the potty, but the darn kid has never thrown her parents a bone. We have sat her on the potty repeatedly, we have sat next to her on the potty, we have bribed the kid with potty treats, we have filled her full of liquid then ran the faucet, we have had her watch her cousins go potty, we have tried about everything..and for what? NOTHING! One time Hailey even ran out of the bathroom, yelled at me "no mommy, I won't go potty," then stood on the carpet and tinkled. I wanted to kill her.
Well, we pretty much had given up the whole potty thing for good. But then today a light in the darkness shone through and has made us hope like never before. We came home today, and I told Hailey that I had to go potty before I could get her something to eat. She said "OK mommy, me too," then walked off. I stayed for a moment in the kitchen, then went to go to the bathroom where I couldn't believe what I saw in front of me. There was Hailey on the potty going pee pee all by herself, diaper off and all. Kelly and I were shocked, but never more proud. I think this is one of those defining moments in parenthood, ha, ha. It was amazing! Well, needless to say Hailey got a big bowl of ice cream, and now we will simply wait for her to surprise us again I guess.

Our Christmas Tree

When I took this picture it wasn't dark enough to turn on the lights, but I covered every single inch of this tree with lights, and it is beautiful when it's all aglow!

Hailey was in heaven while decorating the tree. She was actually kind of good at hanging the ornaments...when she wasn't playing with them.

Even Travis helped decorate the tree.

It is tradition for Hailey to place the star on top of the tree, she was looking forward to this all day. I just love everything about this time of year!!!

Thanksgiving!!!

This Thanksgiving was a little different for the Weber family. We usually get to spend Thanksgiving with Kelly's side of the family, but with school and lack of income we simply stayed here with my family this year. As is tradition at the Bevans household, the baby's who are experiencing their first Thanksgiving get to gnaw on a Turkey leg. It is always an amusing event for me to watch.

Travis wasn't sure what to do with it at first. He is only about five months and really hasn't had much experience with food yet.

He had no problem wanting to put it in his mouth, however as you can see from his face it wasn't the greatest thing he'd ever tasted.

Hailey had an absolute blast this past weekend. Hailey was able to play with her many cousins from morning to night, and she was loving it! She and her cousin Claire were princesses all weekend, it was too cute. Hailey was so excited to finally have a girl her age to play with instead of all those boys...she much prefers playing dress-up to cars and swords.

Hailey, Hailey, Hailey...What a character this girl is turning out to be: So I know I blog about my little girl all the time, but she is so stinking funny and cute. Today we were at my mothers house, and Hailey was playing with her cousin Ben. It was lunch time, and Hailey was eating goldfish crackers which poor Ben had been coveting from the moment he saw them. I repeatedly told Hailey to share with her cousin, but she kept insisting that she wouldn't. At the same time her grandmother and I offered our own techniques for guilting her into sharing. Her grandmother told her that Santa was watching her, and would not bring her a tricycle if she didn't share. I told her that Jesus would be sad if she didn't share, so she should choose the right...Hailey thought for a moment, then politely offered her whole bag of goldfish to Ben. My mother and I looked at each other and I said "I wonder which statement got her to share?" Just then Hailey jumped up and down smiling and shouting "Santa, Santa, Santa." We of course laughed our heads off. I guess it's pretty sad that Santa has more pull in her life than Jesus...I guess we know what our next FHE will be about!

Fun With The Kiddos

Hailey has been having the time of her life with the "cave"/"house" she and her daddy made out of the box our new water heater came in. Hailey's excitement level would make you think this was the greatest toy she has ever had...
Which makes me wonder why we as parents put out so much money on toys, when in reality children have way more fun playing with the boxes they come in.

Even Daddy got in on the fun...he was just a bit too big to fit in there with Hailey at the same time.
We are really enjoying this age and stage Hailey is in right now...She is so dang cute!

So our little man is already old enough to start eating baby food. Those of you parents out there can appreciate these classic photos of Travis tasting rice cereal for the first time. I almost felt guilty feeding the poor kid because he acted like we were torturing him. The pictures gave us a good laugh though...Enjoy!

Our Disney Fanatic

Hailey has 3 current Disney movies she is obsessed with, and we are loving this phase! Hailey is very into Disney movies right now, and she is constantly quoting the most random things from the movies. My husband apparently babysits Hailey by sitting her down in front of Disney movie after movie. one morning I hear she watched Bambi like 3 times in a row. I discovered this when she started walking up to me and saying things like "Mother" in the same tone of voice Bambi does, or "bir-d" and "fl-ower, pirty flower."
Cinderella is another favorite. She has been Hailey's favorite princess since she discovered that princesses exist. She can watch this movie over and over if we let her. This morning she was watching Cinderella and acting out parts of the movie with her dolls. As she was playing she heard a clock chime in the background and exclaimed "oh that clock...killjoy!" It took me a minute, but if you recall at the beginning of the movie, that's what Cinderella says to the clock. It was so funny, I don't know how she picked that line out, I barely realized what she said until a few weeks ago myself.

Hailey also thinks that people are only beautiful when they wear dresses, because princesses always wear dresses. If we pick out a normal pant and top outfit for her she always protests and says "I'm not beautiful." It's kind of sad, and we constantly have to ensure her that she is beautiful without a dress!

We recently introduced Hailey to Sleeping Beauty, she instantly fell in love. She constantly dances around like Sleeping Beauty, twirling and singing the song from the movie. She also walks around pointing at things and saying "make it pink", or "make it blue." We get such a kick out of what she comes up with. This morning at like 7:30, Kelly and I woke up to Hailey singing from her toddler bed at the top of her lungs "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream.." It was too cute. I hope this phase never ends because it is so much fun to watch her enjoy the magic of Disney. We at least have a few years left I hope, I will encourage it as long as I can.

Hooray for Halloween

I love love love this picture of Hailey and Her cousin Ben. They were so stinking cute walking along Trick or Treating.
Sorry for the order of these pictures, they are a little mixed up. This was Travis's pumpkin that his father carved. He was very proud of his handy work.

Poor Hailey was so tired on Halloween, but was so excited to finally see what all this Trick or Treating talk was about. She got a little annoyed with all the pictures I made her sit through.

This was after Trick or Treating, my little cowgirl was super happy, and fully energized by her candy.

Hailey the Cowgirl and her Travis Horse...They were so dang cute I must say.

Mommy's pumpkin, then Travis's, and Hailey's on the right. She was so proud of our Jack-o-lanterns. She couldn't wait to see them all lit up.

I tricked Kelly into smiling for this shot. He thought he could stop smiling before I clicked the shot...he was dead wrong!

We had such a great Halloween, and our little Travis was the best baby ever! He was so good during the whole Trick or Treating thing. It's nice to have such a laid back kid.
